ROC Amsterdam – Flevoland is improving quality, inclusion, and efficiency in job postings with Textmetrics.

  • Basic principles such as correct language, structure, and accessibility were not always met.
  • There was a need for a way to write consistently better content and to demonstrate active efforts in inclusive communication (D&I).

2. The solution: Textmetrics writing software

Textmetrics was chosen because the tool:

  • Helps directly during writing (no complex prompts).
  • Is easy to use, even for colleagues with no AI experience.
  • Provides clear insights and suggestions on readability, tone, inclusivity, and structure.
  • Is highly customizable to match the organization’s own style and tone of voice.

Copilot (Microsoft 365) is used additionally: for example, to quickly generate an initial profile summary using a custom prompt. After that, the texts are improved, reviewed, and optimized in Textmetrics before publication.

Textmetrics is concrete, user-friendly, and leads to better results. We use Copilot as a supplement, but not as the final solution.

3. Practical use: improving and safeguarding text quality

  • Textmetrics is now being rolled out across multiple HR teams at our vocational colleges and is used from the start of the recruitment process.
  • The inclusivity, readability, and B1-level modules are used most intensively.
  • Long sentences, vague language, and unclear terms are being systematically addressed.
  • When reusing older texts (e.g., for the same role), active improvement is now clearly visible.

4. Results and first insights

  • Text quality has clearly improved, with fewer errors and more readable content.
  • The baseline measurement (e.g., percentage of overly long sentences) provides insight into progress over time.
  • Teams feel supported in their writing process and can demonstrate how they are working on inclusive recruitment.

We use Textmetrics as the standard for text quality, and that also supports our D&I ambitions.

Why this works for other organizations

  • No AI knowledge needed: user-friendly interface without prompts.
  • Proven D&I efforts: measurable results and transparency.
  • Copilot & Textmetrics complement each other: creative input (Copilot) and quality assurance (Textmetrics).
  • Scalable: from small teams to entire institutions.
