Can I get a free Textmetrics account?
Textmetrics offers a free test account for one week. After one week you have the option to change your test account into a subscription account. Get your free test account.
Where can I buy a Textmetrics subscription?
To change your test account to a subscription, visit ‘My account’ on the dashboard and click ‘Subscriptions’. Don’t have an account? Sign up for a free test account.
What kind of subscriptions are available?
For our Pro Subscription, we have four different options available. We understand that you may want to use the software for a specific purpose. Here you will find more information about the four different subscriptions. Would you like to explore if it’s a good fit for you first? Then feel free to request the free 7-day test account for one of the subscriptions.
How do I change my billing method?
Currently, it is not feasible to change your billing method yourself. Please contact us , if you would like to change your billing method.
I am a student, can I get a free account?
Yes, we offer students our free trial account for 3 months! Just make sure to request the trial account with your student email address. For questions or more information click here.
What are the limitations of a test account?
The test accounts offer the basics of our modules. Textmetrics’ customization is essential to provide a comprehensive writing process solution tailored to your needs. Brand identity, tone of voice, and other customized rules are unfortunately not available in the test accounts.
How do I cancel my subscription?
To cancel your subscription, click ‘My Account’ on your dashboard and go to ‘Subscriptions’. Then click on ‘Cancel Subscription’.

How does Textmetrics protect my data?
Textmetrics uses a variety of security measures to protect your data, including encryption and firewalls. The GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data. You also have the right to object to us processing your personal data. You can automatically delete your personal data that is older than 30 days. Textmetrics is also proud to be ISO 27001 certified. To achieve this certification, we underwent a rigorous evaluation process that included developing a quality management system, documenting and reviewing our management system, and undergoing a full assessment. ISO 27001 is a continuous certification, and our compliance is audited externally.
How does Textmetrics work?
Textmetrics’ software is able to provide you with suggestions on how to optimize your text in real time. This is possible with the usage of AI techniques such as Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP).

Textmetrics automatically detects the language of your text. The software supports 12 languages. The software is able to translate into any language.
I forgot my password, what now?
You can reset your password by clicking on the login icon. Click on ‘I forgot my password’ to reset it.
Do I have to change the interface language to be the same as the content’s?
No, Textmetrics automatically detects the language of your text and provides suggestions based on that language. The language of the interface does not affect or influence the language of your text. So you can select the interface language based on your preference.
How do I change the language of the interface?
To change the language of the interface you can go click on your profile icon in your dashboard. Go to ‘language’ and click on the language you want to change your interface to.
How does the software know when a word is female, male or gender neutral?
In our gender bias analysis, we examine language and word usage differences and their perception among men and women. We combine these studies with big data analysis of millions of documents.
How does Textmetrics help me write better content?
Textmetrics helps you write better content by providing feedback on readability, SEO, diversity and inclusion, (employer) branding, tone of voice, and recruitment. It also helps you identify and remove biased language from your writing and ensures you address everyone in your target audience.
How can I customize Textmetrics to meet my specific needs?
Based on your guidelines we can train Textmetrics into your language. Examples of customized rules are: tone of voice, formal or informal, jargon, and many more!
Is it possible to include multiple style guides into the Textmetrics software?
Yes, it is possible. We can customize multiple rule sets based on your different style guides and implement them into the Textmetrics software. There will be a general rule set and multiple additional rule sets for different style guides. This is useful when different teams or departments within your organization want to use the Textmetrics software. We recommend using the software company wide, to make sure all your content is consistent and of high quality!
How do I add a page in my account?
You can add a new page by clicking the ‘+ Add’ button on your dashboard.
How do I import a page?
You can easily import your content straight from the Dashboard. At the top of the page, enter the URL of the page you wish to optimize and click Import. For more information on how to upload pages into Textmetrics click here. It is also possible to import multiple URLs at once. Click on Bulk Import button and select from File or URL.
How do I use the Textmetrics editor?

How do you move pages into different (team) projects?
First, open the page you want to move. Press the folder icon in the top right corner of the editor and select your desired project. Press ‘Select Project’.
Why does my Google Docs Add-on not work?
Add-on won’t work with ‘Block third-party cookies’ enabled in Chrome’s cookie settings. Disable this setting to make add-on load properly and login visible again. Find the setting here.
Why does Textmetrics not recognize bullet points from my text?
When you copy and paste content into Textmetrics, the format of the text and your bullet points disappear sometimes. Select the text and click on the bullet point icon in the pop up menu bar. This will solve the problem.
Where does Textmetrics store my data?
Textmetrics stores data on servers hosted by Microsoft Azure in Europe.
How do I troubleshoot common Textmetrics issues?

Why can’t I log in using Single Sign-On (SSO)?

How can I add team members to my Enterprise Account?
You can only add team members if you have the role of ‘team leader’. Go to ‘My Account’ and click on ‘Team Projects’ here you can manage your projects and team members.
How do I customize Textmetrics to match my brand identity?
One of our Customer Success Managers is assigned to you and will walk you through our onboarding. During the onboarding, all possible modules and rule sets are discussed, including your company’s own requirements and rule sets. Your Customer Success Manager makes sure the system is optimized for all of your needs.
How do I integrate Textmetrics with my existing systems and workflows?
Textmetrics can be accessed as a browser app and has plugins for MS Word, Google Docs, and Outlook. As well as for well known content management systems (CMS) and applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as WordPress, Drupal, Umbraco, SmartRecruiters, Pageup, UKG, Ubeeo, and many more. How do I change rulesets?
You can change rulesets by clicking the (page) ‘Settings’ button next to the ‘Analyze’ button in the editor.
How do I change other customized rules?
It is possible to change approved/forbidden/mandatory word lists by yourself. For more information about word lists click here.
